Neighbourhood Spotlight: Highlands
Fall is the perfect time to explore Highlands. Stroll past the century-old homes on a crisp afternoon, then take in the river valley views while the leaves are at their best.

Fun + Helpful: 3 Small Things to Get Your Home Ready for Winter
- Shut off the outside taps. Disconnect your garden hoses, turn off the water to outdoor taps from inside, and drain the lines before the first hard freeze. A burst pipe is no one’s idea of a fall project.
- Give your furnace some love. Swap the filter (it takes two minutes) and book a tune-up before the first cold snap, when everyone else calls at once.
- Test your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Clocks fall back on November 1, which makes it the perfect reminder to test alarms and change batteries.
Bonus: clear the gutters once most of the leaves are down so melting snow has somewhere to go in spring.

Edmonton’s market is shifting into its usual fall pace. Sales are down from last year, while the number of homes for sale is up, which means buyers have more choice and a little more breathing room. Prices are holding steady.
