Cons: Limited walkable amenities, transit is less direct than in inner-city neighbourhoods

Why Property Values (and Tax Assessments) Went Up Recently
Did you get hit with sticker shock this year when your Tax Assessment arrived?
Every January in Edmonton, the City sends out property assessment notices. These notices estimate what your home would likely sell for on the open market, based on sales data from the previous year and standardized criteria like size, age, style, and location. This is a MASS EVALUATION; it may or may not reflect your home's actual sales value.
If the market is rising, those assessed values often go up as well — and that’s why many homeowners have recently seen their assessed values increase this year.
